MultiSTAC
is Sophia's high-performance emulation system supporting legacy processors.
The stackable module design incorporates a chip-specific probe, emulation
memory, trace memory, and CPA function into one unit. It operates up
to 60MHz external clock, supports 8/16/32-bit bus, and focuses on high-speed
CPUs. A PCI or ISA interface provides high-speed communication between
the MultiSTAC and your host PC (with a PCMCIA interface for your laptop
computer).
The
MultiSTAC design can operate on a stand-alone basis with its own memory,
clock, and CPU probe, allowing you to begin debugging your program while
the board is still being developed! Once your board has been developed,
it can connect directly to your target (by replacing the CPU), enabling
the use of emulation memory, and the real-time trace recording of bus
cycle data. The real-time RAM monitor also allows the use the opportunity
to view memory in real-time!
View and configure trace memory & triggers without effecting real-time
emulation with 32K cycles of real-time bus trace, SDRAM trace (burst
mode), and trigger (external signal trigger conditions)
Debug programs
while the hardware is still being developed with 4-16 MBytes emulation
memory (both internal and external access)
View memory in
real-time with the RAM monitor
Analyze performance
while the programs are stored in cache memory with the coverage performance
analyzer
From
initial board design and integration of middleware & drivers, to
debugging& testing software applications; full-featured ICE gives
you total control over the entire project allowing your products to
get to market faster - giving you the advantage!
