Sophia Systems releases the first development solution
which supports ARM Cortex-R4 in the Japanese ICE industry
Japan, March, 2007: Sophia Systems Co., Ltd. JASDAQ (Sophia 6942), is pleased to release the first development solution supporting "ARM Cortex-R4" of ARM Cortex(TM) in ARM's core family in the Japanese ICE industry.
Sophia has been providing development tools supporting many ARM processors as a member of the ARM(R) Connected Community. The Sophia sales channels are growing domestically and internationally, allowing for development support for embedded engineers worldwide. Sophia's JTAG emulator, "EJ-Debug" and JTAG emulator with ETM trace, "EJ-Debug ETM" support all the latest ARM processors, including "ARM Cortex R4".
The ARM Cortex family is a flexible solution based on the ARMv7 architecture to provide customizable technology defined by application or performance requirements driven by the market. "R" series will be optimized for systems running a real-time OS, which gives an expectation of its adoption for control applications such as automotive, networking or image processing.
