Sophia
Systems announces support for Marvell®'s newest PXA3xx
application processor (codenamed Monahans)
Japan,
Jan, 2007: Sophia Systems Co., Ltd. JASDAQ (Sophia 6942), is pleased
to announce the release of our new development tool solution sets
supporting Marvell®'s new generation PXA3xx series application
processor (codenamed Monahans) that was developed for a wide range
of application products such as the next generation cellular phones,
smart phones, and car navigation systems.
Sophia's
embedded development tool solutions supporting Marvell's PXA3xx series
application processor consist of: EJ-Debug JTAG emulator, our Sandgate
3 reference design platform, and various software debugging options
and tools. These customizable solutions sets will be available on
the market immediately to support embedded developers worldwide using
Marvell's PXA3xx series application processor.
EJ-Debug
A compact, USB-powered JTAG emulator that supports software development
of an embedded device using Marvell's PXA3xx series application processor.
Sophia's C/C++ high-level language debugger, Watchopint® is included
and not only supports development of the boot loader and board-control
source code, but also supports the development of programs at the
assembly level. It allows the downloading of multiple modules at the
same time, in order to debug the different applications that run on
the RTOS. The project tree window also allows easy access to all global
symbols, source files, and functions.
Sandgate 3
A reference design platform with all the peripherals necessary for
the development of hand-held devices - from car navigation systems
to PDA's & other WiFi and multimedia devices. The Sandgate 3 is
an excellent design base for any high-tech handheld device.
Sophia's
embedded development tools enable engineers around the globe to develop
their software at the same time as their own hardware platform is
being designed, shortening the overall system development time.
"Sophia
Systems has successfully developed tools and reference platforms for
our PXA 25x and 27x generation of application processors", said
Gary Forni, Director of Platform Enabling, Cellular Handheld Group
at Marvell. "We are pleased to see their continued support for
our application processors. These next generation development tools
ad reference platforms for our newly announced Marvell PXA300 processor
should enable OEMs to accelerate platform and application development
and get their products to market faster.
"Sophia's
solutions sets enable engineers to develop their next generation handheld
devices quickly and easily based on Marvell's PXA3xx application processor.
We are committed to supporting the Marvell's PXA3xx series application
processor and are excited to be able to release our development tools
at this time," stated Tasuku Kashihira, CEO of Sophia Systems
Co., Ltd.
