Systems announces support for Intel Corporation's newest processor
family (codenamed Monahans) based on third generation Intel XScale®
architecture

April 3, 2006: Sophia Systems Co., Ltd. JASDAQ (Sophia 6942), is pleased
to announce the release of our new development tool solution sets
supporting Intel Corporation's newest processor family (codenamed
Monahans) based on third generation Intel XScale® architecture.
Sophia's
embedded development tool solutions supporting the Monahans platform
family consist of: EJ-Debug JTAG emulator, EJ-Writer Flash ROM writer,
our Sandgate 3 reference design platform, and various software debugging
options and tools. These customizable solutions sets will be available
on the market immediately to support embedded developers worldwide
using the Monahans platform family.
EJ-Debug
A compact, USB-powered JTAG emulator that supports software development
of an embedded debice using the Monahans platform family. Sophia's
C/C++ high-level language debugger, Watchopint® is included and
not only supports development of the boot loader and board-control
source code. but also supports the development of programs at the
assembly level. It allows the downloading of multiple modules at the
same time, in order to debug the different applications that run on
the RTOS. The project tree window also allows easy access to all global
symbols, source files, and functions.
EJ-Writer
A high-speed, USB-powered Flash ROM writer that has the ability to
write directly into Flash already installed on the device or board
via the JTAG port. Any Flash ROM with NOR type/DINOR types are supported.
Sandgate 3
A reference design platform with all the peripherals necessary for
the development of hand-held devices - from car navigation systems
to PDA's & other WiFi and multimedia devices. The Sandgate 3 is
an excellent design base for any high-tech handheld device.
Sophia's
embedded development tools enable engineers around the globe to develop
their software at the same time as their own hardware platform is
being designed, shortening the overall system development time.
