In alliance with Nokia, Sophia Systems announces that a Beta plug-in to connect Sophia's emulators with Nokia's integrated development environment, CodeWarrior™ Development Studio for Symbian OS™ is now available

2005 May 27th, Kanagawa, Japan: Sophia Systems (CEO: Tasuku Kashihira, JASDAQ: 6942) is pleased to announce a joint engineering project with Nokia that brings Nokia's integrated development environment, CodeWarrior™ Development Studio for Symbian OS™ together with Sophia's emulator platforms.

This interface software of CodeWarrior™ Development Studio for Symbian OS™ works together with Sophia's high level language debugger, Watchpoint®. The combination of Sophia's JTAG emulator and Watchpoint debugger makes debugging possible from the initial reset and inside the interrupt routine (functions that were previously not available with CodeWarrior stand-alone). In addition, our JTAG allows high-speed downloading to Flash memory and supports over 300 Flash devices.

The beta version of this interface software is now available from Sophia, with the official gold release to be included in CodeWarrior™ Development Studio for Symbian OS™, Ver 3.0.2 in Q3 2005. It should be noted that an additional software key is required from Sophia to allow developers the ability to connect CodeWarrior and Watchpoint.
Sophia Systems helps to decrease the overall system development time for ARM and XScale developers by providing powerful debugging capabilities such as: program load to Flash ROM, program execution/break, ability to view and modify each memory register, bus trace, view and modify emulation memory. Please contact us if you are interested in joining this exciting beta program.

Tasuku Kashihira, CEO of Sophia Systems "We announced our support Symbian OS V8.1b back in November 2004, and are now pleased to provide developers with the advanced cooperation of CodeWarrior™ Development Studio for Symbian OS™ with our emulators. We will be actively promoting the use of CodeWarrior for hardware debugging as a more efficient and complete debugging environment. We will continue to provide leading debugging solution for Nokia's customers worldwide."
