Sophia
Systems announces the development environment to support Windows®
CE.NET 5.0, releasing the new interface software between Platform
Builder 5.0 and Sophia's emulators
Kanagawa,
JAPAN, Nov 17, 2004 - Sophia Systems Co., Ltd. (JASDAQ: Sophia), is
pleased to announce "WP4MSPB PXA25x/27x [Watchpoint for Platform
Builder", the interface software allowing Sophia's emulators
to connect to Microsoft's Platform Builder supporting Windows®
CE.NET 5.0.
For Windows®
CE.NET 5.0 developers working with the Intel® PXA25x/PXA27x processor
families, Sophia's high-level language Watchpoint® debugger can
now fully support Platform Builder users. This debugger cooperation
provides full debugging from the initial reset status and interrupt
routine that are not available with Platform Builder stand alone.
In addition, the debugging of boot loader via Watchpoint, and writing
to Flash memory of boot loader is now possible. Sophia Systems will
be supporting additional CPUs such as ARM shortly.
The combination
use of Sophia Systems' High Level Language Debugger, Watchopint®,
and Microsoft's Platform Builder, has been very successful in bringing
a wide range of powerful debugging capabilities to WinCE developers
such as: program loading to Flash ROM, program execution/break, memory
register's view/modification, bus trace, emulation memory's view/modification,
etc
Tasuku
Kashihira, CEO of Sophia Systems says, "The advanced version
of cooperation of Microsoft's Platform Builder and Sophia's emulator
will promote the use of Platform Builder, making the system development
with each processor more efficient. Sophia Systems will be continuously
providing the leading debugging solution to the Microsoft customers."
