Sophia Systems' Sandgate 3 Reference Design supports Marvell's (formerly Intel's) newest processor PXA3xx (codenamed Monahans) based on third generation Intel XScale® architecture. This reference board enables you to develop the software at the same time as the hardware is being developed, greatly reducing your overall system development time. With Marvell PXA processors installed, the Sandgate 3 reference design includes all the peripherals necessary for the development of Handheld devices and provides an excellent design base for your actual system.
The Sandgate 3 supports Windows®CE 6.0 R2 & Linux board support packages (BSP). Windows Mobile 6.0 available for key accounts (please contact us for more information). The schematic, part list, CPLD code, and software (source and binary) are also included so development and customization can be done. The Sandgate 3 comes installed with boot loader and WinCE OS or Linux OS..
Sophia Systems' EJ-Debug/JTAG with WATCHPOINT Debugger is also recommended for fast Flash writing and Debugging. As well as providing JTAG "HARDWARE ASSIST" for WinCE & Linux source code Debugging.
WinCE/Linux Solution Sets
The power of the Sandgate 3 reference design is unleashed in combination with complete development and debugging solutions available by Sophia Systems. From compilers and debuggers to Flash Writers and JTAG emulators. The solution sets provide all the tools needed to get your project developed, debugged and products out the door faster. For debugging code, there is a JTAG port and the combination of Sandgate 3 board and Sophia's EJ-Debug JTAG emulator for Monahans provides on-chip debugging capability.
